Minigames in Final Fantasy IX involving Vivi Rope-skipping: - In Alexandria you will easily find a group of three girls playing rope-skipping in the square near the castle entrance. Once Alexandria gets destroyed, these girls can later be found in the small house with the bell, where Hippaul hid his Tetra Master cards. - You first get to skip rope with Vivi at the very beginning of the game, when you control him in Alexandria. At the 3rd CD and afterwards, you will need to have either Vivi or Eiko in your team in order to attend this minigame. If Vivi and Eiko are both in the party, Vivi will be chosen to play. Zidane will just sit around and watch. - The objective of the challenge is to press the X button when Vivi goes "!" to make him jump. DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON LIKE MAD! This would simply make you lose. You will need to do it in time. - On your 20th, 50th, 100th, 200th and 500th jump, the girls will rotate the rope faster. Be very careful after your 200th jump, the speed alternates between fast and medium, you might press X at the wrong time and end the minigame. - After doing rope-skipping for the third time, your record list will become available. Also, if you succeed in making 50 jumps, a letter will be sent to Mosh in Alexandria, notifying him about your brilliant performance. - You will essentially get cards for your performance at rope-skipping.
