Festival, convention, who cares? The most important is that, as a cosplayer, I succeed in finding people to talk to, pictures to take, stands to stand on... and cosplayers as well.
The real difference is that I attended this festival as a libero exhibitor: I brought my ryhthm-gaming gear (pop'n music) there, which I surveyed during the majority of the time. However, the gamer's room being closely surveyed and the visitors being very polite, I did not have to constantly survey my gear. That allowed me to attend the cosplay show and take those pictures...
