Origin: beatmania IIDX!

Ereki is just like the many other characters you see in Bemani games (DDR, IIDX, Pop'n'Music...): characters that are only here to illustrate the game, with few or no background information given about them. Just like the other IIDX characters, he's a DJ. And just like them, he appears in the result screens and in a few videos. His first appearance is in... beatmania IIDX 6th Style, what a coincidence!
History: Why him? Because beatmania IIDX 6th Style is also the first game I bought from the IIDX series! Simple as that, ain't it?
Now, onto the making-of of a Primary Vivid Cosplay. I know, it could be called "cheap cosplay", but don't interpret it as "easy cosplay" at all, oh no! Actually, we found a pair of black trousers and a black cotton sweater to use as basis for the costume, the rest is simply bits of fabric and stuff bought from our local material store. However, modding the clothes was a pain, I'll spare you the details. I'll simply tell you that the shoulder pads are made of old bike tires padded with fabric chutes. And of course, Zidane's wig came back into play.
My advice: don't do DDR too intensely with a costume like that, the leg belts might get in your way. ;-)
